1. Meeting was called to order by Jason at 7:05 pm.
2. Flu Clinic – HB reported that this year’s Flu Clinic will be on October 9, 2009. There was also discussion of the schools offering free flu vaccinations to all students and how this would affect the number of people that may show up at this year’s flu clinic.
3. 2009 HSEEP Exercise – Dennis reported that he and Steve had completed and turned in the after action report for the Mrs. Albers search and that the incident had been accepted as the 2009 HSEEP exercise. Dennis also reported that the next HSEEP exercise is due by October 2010 and that he was in the process of getting approval from ADEM to use this year’s Flu Clinic as the exercise. There was further discussion on how to proceed after approval was given and tentative plans were discussed to include a tabletop exercise as part of the Clinic.
4. Storm Recovery Teams – Jason reported that there are nine storm recovery volunteer teams ready to respond. He also reported that he was in talks with Butterfield Assembly of God and another group in the Graphic/Mountainburg area to form teams.
5. Citizen Corp Council – Dennis reported that the VBHS had 60 employees participate in the last CERT class and that there was another CERT class that had just finished or was close to finishing at the VBHA. There are also plans for three more classes this year.
6. Tier II Reports – Dennis reported that all of the reports had been received and filed.
7. StormNet Committee – this item was tabled during the last meeting with an action note to be included as an agenda item for the next meeting. Steve reports that StormNet is running smoothly at this time and wants to let things run as they are. Steve also reported that Mulberry has been approved as a Storm Ready Partner and that Figure Five is also working towards becoming a Storm Ready Partner.
8. Other – Rick reported that Summit will be having a drill on June 24 that will be based on a weaponized anthrax release during flu season. Steve has lined up two HAM radio operators to help with the drill. Rick stated that Summit needed a decon team to help, but neither the city nor county teams are available to help on that day. Rick also reported that there will be a planning meeting on the June 17 and a evaluator/controller class on June 18 to prepare for the drill.
